Professional Training Workshops on Chronic Pain Management

Training workshops are designed for healthcare professionals who want to deepen their understanding of chronic pain through a multidisciplinary lens, grounded in neuroscience and evidence-based practice.

Whether delivered as ready-to-go sessions or customized to your team’s specific needs, these interactive workshops encourage participants to reflect on their professional practices and explore how attitudes and beliefs can shape the support offered to individuals living with chronic pain.
A three-hour introductory workshop covers key topics such as:
  • The pain physiology and pain neuroscience education
  • The role of perception, emotion, attention, and anticipation in the pain experience
  • Vulnerable populations and the impact of stigma
  • Psychosocial factors affecting pain and quality of life
  • Psychosocial interventions for pain management
  • Resources and practical tools to support clinical practice

These workshops have been offered to groups of professionals, including residents, physicians, specialized nurse practitioners, and nurse clinicians at the GMF-U Parc-Extension, as well as social work teams at GMF Côte-des-Neiges and GMF-U Parc-Extension.
